Arson Fires Put Out After Burning for Three Days

OKTIBBEHA CO, Miss. (WCBI)- Firefighters in Oktibbeha and surrounding areas are done fighting the fires that burned for three days.

A rash of arson fires were a blaze the past three days in the Western parts of Oktibbeha county, and in the Northeast part of Choctaw county.

The fires stretched out over several miles along a TVA transmission line.

No structures were immediately threatened.

Law enforcement are investigating suspicious vehicles seen in the area around the time of the fire.

After stripping half of Oktibbeha county and surrounding areas of their personnel, investigators need your help. If you have any information on this crime call the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s department.
