Artesia Traffic Stop Nets Drugs And Cash

LOWNDES S.O. PRESS RELEASE

On Tuesday March 29, 2016 Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on Circle Drive in Artesia. After a brief investigation a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of over eight ounces of marijuana and several thousand dollars in U.S. currency. An agent with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit was contacted and took over the investigation.

Ricardo Robertson, 28, of Artesia was arrested and charged with running a stop sign, driving with a suspended driver’s license, and possession of marijuana more than one ounce. Robertson was transported to the Lowndes County Detention Center where he will be held for an initial appearance for a bond to be set.
