STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)– Americans are becoming less religious, that’s part of a new study by the Pew Research Center.
Here in Mississippi, that trend may not be as true.

Groundbreaking, after Groundbreaking, after groundbreaking, many congregations in North Mississippi will soon have new, bigger homes.
The construction comes at a time when more Americans across the country are turning away from religion.
Pastor Lee Brand Jr. says his church is doing the opposite, bringing people in the old fashion way.

“Be very clear about what our message is, and to be compassionate towards people, we have a very loving congregation.”

A message he says is more important now, than ever before.

“We live in a world that I believe is in a very deep fog spiritually, where people are misguided, misdirected, and I think the greatest thing you can do is have a very clear light and that’s Christ. ”

Spreading that message is as simple as 5- 3- 1

“5 days, talk to 5 people about Christ, and about your church. 3, do 3 follow ups, pick 3 people and follow up with them 3 times. And 1, try and bring 1 of them to church,” says Pastor Brand.

Pastor Brand says the church continues to provide different outreach programs that he hopes will continue to bring more people through these soon to be much bigger doors.
