Authorities Identify Man Killed in Union County Accident

UNION COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Authorities have identified the man who was fatally wounded after he was hit by a car early Saturday morning in Union County.

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop F Public Affairs Officer Ray Hall said the man has been identified as 49-year-old Biloxi resident Gregary Bertinato.

Bertinato was reportedly hit about 1:45 a.m. Saturday while walking in the westbound lane at mile marker 57 on Highway 78.

Bertinato was the only individual injured in the incident.

Hall said the case is still under investigation.
