HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) – Balloons filled the skies over downtown Houston Tuesday (4-9) evening.

The launch was designed to raise awareness of child abuse.

Anchor clubs from Houston and Chickasaw County High Schools and The West Chickasaw County Department of Human Services organized the event.

Students also tied ribbons to trees with information about what to do if you suspect that a child is being abused.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.
