Baptist Golden Triangle Gets New CFO

COLUMBUS, Miss.- Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle has named David Webb as its new chief financial officer.

Webb comes to Columbus from Jonesboro, Ark. where he served as chief financial officer at Baptist NEA, a 100-bed hospital in the Baptist Memorial Health Care system. He officially began at Baptist Golden Triangle in early October.

A native of Michigan, Webb earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Taylor University in Upland, Ind. and a Master of Accountancy from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

At Baptist Golden Triangle, Webb is responsible for several departments including patient financial services, medical records, information systems and materials management. He also serves as the hospital’s chief privacy officer and compliance officer.

Webb brings with him a strong background in finance including serving as vice president of hospital finance operations overseeing the managed care strategy at 23 hospitals of the Regency Hospital Company in Alpharetta, Ga.

At Baptist NEA, Webb was responsible for several departments including patient financial services, patient registration, health information management, materials management and the hospital’s financial planning and budget processes. He also served as the hospital’s chief privacy officer and compliance officer.

He and his wife Kim live in Columbus and have three adult children. In his free time, he enjoys NASCAR, SEC football and Atlanta Braves baseball.

He is a member of the Rotary Club and the Healthcare Financial Managers Association.

With 328 beds, Baptist Golden Triangle is the largest regional hospital affiliated with the Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care system. With physicians and surgeons representing almost every medical specialty practicing at the hospital, Baptist Golden Triangle offers a wide range of comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages.

The hospital offers a variety of services to the community, including the Baptist Cancer Center – Golden Triangle, Baptist Behavioral Health Care for those with behavioral and mental health problems, an emergency room with 24-hour ambulance service, an extensive rehabilitation department, and educational programs. Baptist Golden Triangle employs more than 1,000 health care professionals.
