Benefit held for Winston County Tornado Recovery

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – It’s been six months since a series of tornadoes touched down in Winston County, killing over a dozen people and leaving behind millions in property damage. On Saturday, a benefit was held for Winston Strong as the recovery in Winston County continues.

Members of the community came out to the event this afternoon held at the Louisville Coliseum. The benefit was hosted by the Southern Gospel Music Association of Mississippi. The group honored all the first responders including the fire department, law enforcement and medical staff for their service and dedication during on of the deadliest storms in state history.
