Bill To Remember Long Time Lawmaker Advances

JACKSON, MS (WCBI) -The move to honor Lee County native Tim Ford is moving forward .

The House of Representatives  today passed a bill which would rename the state department of public safety building  in Ford’s memory.  The Baldwyn native served  24 years in the legislature  16 of those as  House speaker.  Ford died suddenly last year at his Oxford home.   The measure now moves to the Senate for consideration
