Bond Set for Aberdeen Teen Accused in Shooting

ABERDEEN, Miss. – (WCBI) A quarter of a million dollars. That is what is will cost an Aberdeen teen to get out of jail after a weekend shooting.

The 17-year old suspect, who’s name has not yet been released, was in Monroe County Justice court today on aggravated assault charges.

He is accused of shooting 56-year old David Puddister in his home on Mobile Street.

Puddister, who is the clerk for U.S Bankruptcy Court in Aberdeen, was shot Saturday while walking his dog. He told the authorities that he heard someone breaking into his shed.

The suspect was nabbed a short time later.The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Marshal’s office assisted in this arrest.
