Video: Bond Set In Monroe County Murder Case

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The man allegedly responsible for a brutal Monroe County murder has made his first court appearance.
Stanley Pace, of Pell City Alabama, is charged with the murder of 43-year-old Ronny Duke, of Amory.
Pace’s bond is set at $750,000.
According to Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell, the two men had been drinking friday night when they got into a deadly argument.
Cantrell says Pace chased Duke out of a mobile home and stabbed him multiple times with a replica of a civil war sword.
Duke’s body was found Monday off of Brown Taylor Road near Hatley.
