BREAKING – One Dead In Aberdeen Shooting

ABERDEEN, MS (WCBI) – A father and son have been shot at an apartment complex on West Commerce in Aberdeen.
It happened just about 10:30 this morning.
Witnesses tell WCBI-TV that a gunman ran into an apartment and apparently shot the two men at close range.
One witness says it appears one victim was shot in the chest, the other in the head.  Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell confirms one person is dead and the other is being flown to a hospital.  Investigators have identified a Charles Tompkins as a potential person of interest in the case.  Tompkins is thought to be driving a red van.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Aberdeen Police or Monroe County authorities.
