STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- The Bulldogs may have lost Saturday night but the fans in Starkville still have a reason to celebrate. Earlier today the city kicked off its annual Bulldog Brunch and Browse.

Sales, Sales, and more sales is what customers saw Sunday while shopping in downtown Starkville during the 5th annual Bulldog Brunch and Browse.

“It definitely brings people in, especially the out of towners that are here for the game, and here for tailgating, and especially Bulldog Bash, all of the people that are here for that,”  Assistant Manger at Aspen Bay Macall Morgan said.

The event is hosted every Sunday during the home game weekends.

Customers enjoyed special shopping and dinning from 15 different shops.

Stores that are normally closed on Sundays, are now open, and with the extra cash flow pouring in, store managers are not complaining one bit.

“All of the people that are in town, they literally just buy everything in the store,” Morgan said.

Store owners say this is their biggest business opportunity in the Fall. In fact, one store which used to be closed during this Weekend, now stays open for the.

“With customers asking why, we realized that it would probably bring us in a lot of business if we did stay open,” Polka Tots employee Khloe Carpenter said.

And one store in particular is doing something different to stand out.

“We have free food and free booze. We’re doing a mimosa bar and giving out free sandwhiches,” store manager of Libby Story Rachel Woodward said.

The Bulldog Brunch and Browse is all apart of the new south weekends in Starkville. And Businesses use this opportunity to network and help launch their business.
Starkville will Host their next Bulldog Brunch and browse next Sunday.
