Video: C.A.F.B. International Spouses Luncheon

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – International spouses at Columbus Air Force Base are treated to a special lunch at Old Waverly on Thursday.

The goal is to allow international wives to meet other spouses and attend social events.

Organizers say the women are sometimes married to exchange officer or married an American on base.

The International Spouses Group believes this helps connect women from the base to the community.

“It is such a diverse Columbus Air Force Base that we have here, and that the international spouses themselves embrace the beautiful Southern hospitality that Columbus offers,” said International Spouses Group member Andrea Sanders.

Women from CAFB and the community participate.

This is the 11th year the group has hosted the event.
