Video: Calhoun Library Gets Financial Boost
CALHOUN CITY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Northeast Mississippi library gets a boost from the family of a long-time supporter.
The late James Robertson Junior left $25,000 to the Calhoun City Library to help pay for maintenance on the library building. That facility was built on land Robertson’s mother gave for that purpose.
Some library officials had hoped to be able to use the money for books but Robertson’s estate says the money must go to building upkeep.
But city leaders hope having that reserve may allow other funds to be diverted in the future for books and other materials.
