Catfish Recipe Nets White House Trip For Booneville Child

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (AP) – A Booneville child is invited to dine at the White House after submitting a winning recipe for a nutritious lunch of Mississippi catfish. A news release from the office of first lady Michelle Obama says 10-year-old Reed Lindsey of Booneville is one of 54 winners in the “Healthy Lunchtime Challenge.” There was one winner from each state, the District of Columbia and three territories. Reed’s recipe was for pan-seared Mississippi catfish on a bed of river rice. All the winners are invited to a July 9 dinner that Mrs. Obama is hosting at the White House. The children will get a tour of the White House vegetable garden.
