STARKVILLE, Miss. – (WCBI) What is commonly known as a flimflam scam is caught on camera in Starkville.

On November 20th, two black males, shown on surveillance video, walked in to the Fastbreak, located on Hwy 1-82. Investigators say one suspect acted as a distraction, while the other made a small purchase with a one hundred dollar bill.

The suspect at the counter then asked the clerk to see the bill again, and then reportedly asked her to break other hundred dollar bills. By shuffling the cash back and forth, the crook deceived the clerk into giving him $920.

Authorities say the duo left the scene in a silver or white Chevrolet Impala.

If you recognize the two men, you could earn some honest cash. Information leading to an arrest is worth $1,000, so contact the Golden Triangle Crimestoppers or Starkville police.
