CFD Has New Fire Truck

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Firefighters in Columbus now have a new ride.

The department received their new shiny red fire truck Wednesday afternoon.

The new truck has some enhanced features that Mayor Robert Smith says will make it a great asset for the community.

“It is a great investment for the city and it will be used very wisely for the city. This pump and ladder truck, here this 95 foot ladder,and it also will pump 1,500 gallons of water per minute,” says Mayor Robert Smith.

Mayor Smith says the CFD actually designed the new truck to make sure it fit the needs of the city.
