Video: Charges Filed After Columbus Raid

COLUMBUS POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE

On Thursday, June 11, 2015 Officers responded to the area of 5th Street South in regards to a disturbance with weapons. Once in the area officers noticed several males jumping fences in back yards of residences. A perimeter was made and subjects were caught. A search warrant was obtained for 1329 5th Street South and another one for 520 14th Ave South. Misdemeanor amount of Marijuana was found along with other drug paraphernalia. Along with the narcotics a weapon was found behind a house and another one was found under a house where Willie Tyree Stewart Meady was arrested. Messy was charged with Possession of a firearm by a convicted Felon. He is currently on probation with MDOC. Seven others were arrested and charged with misdemeanor drug charges.
