Video: Chickasaw Co. Group Awards Students for Good Test Scores

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) — A Chickasaw County group is awarding local students for acing an assessment.

PACE sponsored the awards ceremony Thursday at Houston Upper Elementary School.

It’s a branch of the CREATE foundation, helping with community activities in Chickasaw County.

Students receiving awards did well on the PARCC assessment last school year.

“We are so very proud of them,” said John Ellison, HUES principal. “They work very hard, and this is an opportunity to brag on their hard work and their success.”

Ellison says students received money, movie trips, plus pizza and ice cream parties for their hard work.
