Chickasaw Co. Man Pleads Guilty to Wife’s Murder

CHICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Chickasaw County man has pleaded guilty to stabbing his wife to death more than two years ago.

A judge sentenced 29-year-old Will Porter to life in prison, after he pleaded guilty to murder.

Authorities were called to a car fire near Pumphrey’s Grocery back in January 2013, which led them to a home on Highway 8 in Houston.

That’s where they found 23-year-old Amanda Porter stabbed to death.

That stabbing was Chickasaw County’s first homicide in nearly two years.
