Choctaws Head Back to the Polls in August

NESHOBA COUNTY, Miss.  – Members of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians head back to the polls one more time.

Last week the Tribal Council declined to confirm the results of the June 30th runoff between current Chief Phyliss J. Anderson and former Chief Beasley Denson.

In that vote Anderson narrowly defeated Denson by one hundred and sixty-two votes.

The runoff is set for August 25th.
