City Asking for Bids on East Corinth School Land

CORINTH, Miss. (AP) — The Mississippi Action for Progress has submitted a written request for the vacant East Corinth Elementary School to the city of Corinth.

The organization wants to consolidate the Corinth and Kendrick Head State centers at the East campus. Its request is the only one currently on the table for that campus. MAP officials asked the city this week to consider donating the facility as it is to the organization.

Bobby E. Brown, an organization leader, tells a local newspaper the group is willing to discuss over procurement options with city officials.

The campuses of East, West and South elementary schools are vacant. The property returned to the city when the schools were closed by the Corinth School District.
