Clay County Aggravated Assault Guilty Plea

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An Ackerman man pleads guilty in a Clay County assault case.

Tony Raines pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.

Raines and Thomas Barnett were charged with an incident at a Clay County club called The Bank back in 2014.

At the time of their arrest, Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott said the victim had serious head injuries.

Barnett has not gone to trial.

A sentencing date has not been set for Raines.
