West Point, Mississippi (WCBI) – Deputies say he’s escaped before and now Marquis Boyd is on the run from law enforcement again.

Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott says the 23 year-old escaped from the Clay County Detention Center yard, about 1:50 P.M. Wednesday.

Boyd was last seen running north toward Division Street in West Point. He was wearing khaki shorts and white socks. He wasn’t wearing a shirt. The escapee is 5′ 7″ tall and weighs about 150 pounds.

Boyd escaped the same jail last July.

He’s charge with three counts of armed robbery and escape. Now, he most likely faces another escape charge.

Scott reminds residents it’s illegal to hide a fugitive and charges will follow if anyone is caught hiding Boyd.

Call the Clay County Sheriff’s Department at 662-494-2896 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151 if you know where Boyd is hiding.
