Clay County Shooting Investigation

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Clay County man remains in a Tupelo hospital after being shot Sunday night.

Sheriff Eddie Scott says the shooting happened on Perkins Road about 9 PM, near Montpelier.

The victim is in guarded condition, according to Scott.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is handling the case.

No other details, including names, are being released at this time.
