Cohen Talks MSU Fall Ball

The pursuit of Omaha will begin on Friday when Mississippi State takes the field for the beginning of their fall season.

“There is probably sixty programs in the country right now saying we want to win a National Championship. We want to finish on top. They ought to be doing that, if they’re not they’re in the wrong business” Cohen said.

While he admitted a level of excitement for the fall season Cohen did outline a few challenges.

“The fall is always difficult because you’re trying to balance kids getting at-bats while evaluating the new guys as well as the returning guys. We pushed our fall season back this year so our Canadian guys could get here and by doing that it will also give our pitchers, who worked hard over the summer, some more rest for their arms.”
