Video: Columbus Airman Returns from Deployment

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Family and friends from Columbus Air Force Base give a warm welcome home to 1st Lt. Nick Cooley.

The instructor pilot spent the past six months deployed in Qatar.

Cooley says he’s thrilled to be back home.

“It’s amazing,” Cooley said. “Every day you kind’ve think about what it’s going to be like when you get home, and then this is just way better.”

“Facetime has been great, but we’re excited to have him home,” said Brittany Cooley, Nick’s wife.

Now that Nick is back in Columbus, the Cooleys plan to take their two kids to Walt Disney World.
