Video: Columbus Judge To Become New Assistant District Attorney

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – District Attorney-elect Scott Colom selects his first assistant district attorney.

Colom tells WCBI Columbus Municipal Court Judge Marc Amos will join his staff.

Colom says he has been impressed with Amos’ work ethnic, legal reasoning, and compassion for people.

Amos has not officially submitted his resignation but city leaders are expecting it.

Amos has been a municipal court judge since 2010.

Colom says he will be posting several potential job openings on Facebook in the coming days.

He will not take office until January.
