COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus police make two arrests after a man is held up at gunpoint near an apartment complex.

Jamory Ross, 18, and Anthony Gilmore, 19, were denied bond at their first court appearance on Wednesday morning because of prior arrests.

The victim told investigators three men walked up to him and took his money outside Sandpiper Apartments on Eighth Street North.

It took about 24 hours before Ross and Gilmore were arrested. The hold-up happened Monday night.

Police are searching for a third suspect.

Meanwhile, a guy already in jail on one armed robbery charge is accused of committing another.

Tyree Sparks, 22, was also denied bond at his court appearance this morning.

Investigators say Sparks robbed two people walking on Third Avenue South in downtown Columbus on November eighth.

Police are searching for a second suspect.

Sparks was arrested for kidnapping and robbing a C and G railroad employee on November fourth.

The worker was forced to drive to an ATM and withdraw cash.

Sparks was already in jail on those charges when he charged with the second armed robbery.
