Columbus School Picks New Leader

COLUMBUS,Miss. (WCBI) — Phillip Hickman is about to drop the word Assistant from his job title. The Columbus School Board has picked the Houston, Texas educator to become the next Superintendent of the Columbus City Schools. Hickman was named to the $175,000 a year job by a 3-2 vote of the board. The current Houston,Texas assistant will be under a four year contract with Columbus.
