Columbus Schools Have New Dress Code Policy

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Students in the Columbus Municipal School District will also be able to add a little color to their uniform choice this year. The district board voted this week to allow students to wear purple, gold and their school spirit shirts in addition to their white and blue polo shirts. The purple and gold shirts must also be polo shirts. Students are still required to wear khaki pants, shorts or skirts. School officials say 97 percent of parents who responded to a questionnaire favored the change. The new policy takes effect immediately.
