Columbus Schools Seek Input on Master Plan

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Doing more to link test results to national goals and standards throughout the year, better communication and resources for parents of young students, and improved financial transparency are among the major goals of a new Columbus schools master plan.

A group of three dozen business and community leaders, parents and educators have been brainstorming on the plan since last fall. A draft was released today on the district’s Web site.

The public is encouraged to comment through May 29 before the final plan is adopted.
