Video: Columbus Shooting Investigation

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A shooting in the middle of a Columbus street injures one person and sends officers scrambling to look for the gunman.

The shooting happened at the intersection of McCrary Road and Forrest Boulevard, about 1:45 P.M. on Wednesday.

Police quickly started looking for shell casings.

The unidentified 20 year-old victim was shot in the arm. He refused to go to the hospital.

Investigators say two men got in an argument on Forrest before shots rang out.

The shooter is described as a tall black male who was wearing a gray sweatshirt.

Several schools were placed on lock down as a precaution.
