Corinth Firefighter Dies In Car Wreck

CORINTH,Miss.(WCBI)– A one- vehicle collision takes the life of a Corinth firefighter Wednesday morning.

Corinth Fire Department Engineer Ronald Franks, 41, was found inside his wrecked vehicle hours after the accident about one- mile from Union Baptist Church on County Road 560. Authorities were notified of the wreck when a passerby called 911 during the early morning hours.

Alcorn County Coroner Jay Jones confirmed Franks to be dead at the scene.

Franks was employed with the fire department for seven years. He drove a fire truck for Fire Station No. Three on Norman Road.
