Corinth Gears up for Chili Cook-Off
CORINTH, Miss. (AP) — Local and professional chili cooks will battle it out when the Crossroads Chili Cook-Off returns to Corinth in April.
The seventh annual event is scheduled for April 5 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Corinth Depot in downtown Corinth.
A local newspaper reports proceeds will benefit the Corinth-Alcorn County Animal Shelter.
The cook-off will host a sanctioned International Chili Society competition, drawing an estimated 30 chili-cooking teams.
Competitions are open to anyone, not just the pros.
The cook-off will be held in conjunction with the Green Market at the Corinth Depot, which is beginning its sixth season as a selling spot for of locally produced goods.
