Corinth Officer Resigns After Arrest

CORINTH, Miss. (WCBI) – Tuesday a Corinth officer turned in a resignation letter after being arrested for domestic violence.

Jerry Mayhall was arrested Friday for domestic violence after a dispute with his girlfriend. The girlfriend was not injured but things met the criteria to be labeled as domestic violence. Chief Ralph Dance told the Daily Corinthian that Mayhall was a good cop but his actions could not be tolerated within the police force.

Mayhall was on the police force for 15 years.
