Corinth Woman Arrested on Possession of Narcotics

CORINTH, Miss. (WCBI) – Authorities arrested a Corinth woman Thursday on narcotics charges.

Phyllis Denise Walker, 50, was a passenger in a motor vehicle when it was pulled over in Farmington on suspicion of transporting narcotics.

A marijuana scent was detected coming from the car which prompted authorities to search the vehicle where marijuana was found in Walker’s purse.

Walker had a previous warrant issued for the sale of cocaine. She is being held in the Alcorn County Jail on charges of sale of cocaine and felony possession of cocaine.

Her bond was set at $7,500, but is being detained behind bars on hold for the Mississippi Department of Corrections because of currently being on probation.
