CPD Arrests 1 on Aggravated Assault Charge

COLUMBUS, Miss. (Press Release) — Columbus police have a woman in custody in connection with an incident involving shots fired.

The Columbus Police Department received a report Jan. 18 which stated a Columbus resident was shot at by Diamond Walker.

The incident occurred 9:29 p.m. on Eighth Street South and 11th Avenue.

The complainant was not physically injured, although her vehicle was struck by gunfire.

Walker voluntarily turned herself in to Columbus police investigators Wednesday without further incident.

Walker was charged with aggravated assault; her bond was set at $10,000.
