TUPELO, Miss. – (WCBI)Swimming, bowling fishing and more. Sounds like the ideal vacation right? Hosted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Department, area children participated in those activities and many more as a part of this year’s DARE summer camp. Deputies say the week long camp gives them a chance to spend time with young people outside of the classroom. Campers say they’ve also learned the importance of just saying no.

“We learned not to deal with drugs or it can lead you to a life of crime and you could end up in jail,” says camper Kloe McGee.

The camp wrapped up Wednesday afternoon.
