LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- Tomorrow the jury will  resume to hear closing arguments in the Travon Brown Murder Trial.

Brown neglected to take the stand today during today’s testimony.

DNA analyst, the state crime lab, and Dexter Babbit all testified today.

If convicted Brown faces life in prison.

 

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-Testimony continues today in the Travon Brown trial.

Brown is accused of the 2011 shooting deaths of Cornelius ” Snoop” Harris and Felicia Ruffin.

Brown says a struggle occurred between him and Harris for the gun.

He says he shot the two in self-defense.

Tupelo Police Officials Douglas Mansell and Rusty Haynes testified yesterday along with 9-1-1 dispatcher Shae Robbins.

Mansell and Haynes were first responding officers and say they found Harris splayed out on the floor and Ruffin seated on sofa dead.

Officers say they found Brown in a bathtub with a beer between his legs and his pistol at his feet.

The trial is expected to continue throughout the week with Judge Thomas Gardner presiding.

If convicted Brown faces life in prison.
