ALCORN COUNTY (WCBI) – An Alcorn County daycare closed after allegations of child abuse is open again.

The Circle Y Daycare near Rienzi was shut down in mid  March after allegations that 6 children at the center were abused.  The State Department of Health immediately suspended the license of Circle Y.  After the owners requested a hearing  the Health Department said it did not have enough evidence to warrant the continued license suspension and reinstated the permit with one restriction.  The daycare must make certain all of its students stay on the  daycare portion of the building and not be allowed access to a private school which also operates in the building.  A separate investigation by the Alcorn County sheriff is continuing.
