Daycare Shut Down After Abuse Allegations

ALCORN CO., Miss. (WCBI) – An Alcorn County daycare is shut down after allegations of sexual and physical abuse.

The Mississippi State Department of Health issued a notice of Emergency Suspension of License to the owner of Circle Y Child Care.

In the letter, the agency says it has reasonable cause to suspect six children enrolled at the daycare have been abused at the facility or nearby.

The notice says the children where in the care of Circle Y when the alleged abuse happened.

Sheriff Ben Caldwell tells WCBI says his office received complaints and the investigation continues.

No charges have been filed and no one has been arrested.
