LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – “The Friends of Dean Park” hosted their 6th Annual Harvest Fest this Saturday afternoon in Louisville.
Since 2008, the group has worked to clean up Dean Park for the Louisville community. The Park has new playground equipment and an additional restroom. Officials say they’re also in the process of expanding the park to include a walking path and a multi-purpose building. District 4 Supervisor Gloria Turnipseed says Dean Park is vital to the area.
“The park means a lot to the community people because we don’t have any place to really go and this is a great place for everyone here to come and just enjoy it,” says Turnipseed.
The event included a raffle contest, games, and entertainment.
