Death Of 1 Year-Old Under Investigation

ATTALA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Attala County deputies are investigating the death of a one-year old.

Attala County Sheriff Tim Nail tells WCBI Jasmine Irwin was taken to the hospital on September 3rd. Investigators were notified the next day.

Irwin died yesterday at a Jackson hospital on Sunday.

Nail says the child died from a skull fracture.

An autopsy will be conducted Tuesday morning.

Deputies are interviewing people but no one is in custody at this time.
