Dedication Set For Terry Brown Memorial Bridge

 

Tupelo, Miss. – The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) is honored to announce the “Terry W. Brown Memorial Bridge” dedication ceremony has been scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, October 16, in Columbus, Mississippi. The dedication ceremony will be held at the Old Tombigbee River Bridge Pedestrian Walkway and Park in Columbus.

 

In attendance for the dedication ceremony will be Transportation Commissioner Mike Tagert and Lieutenant Governor Tate Reeves.

 

Senate Bill 2087 designates the bridge which spans the Tennessee=Tombigbee Waterway on U.S. Highway 82 in Lowndes County as the “Terry W. Brown Memorial Bridge.” MDOT will erect and maintain appropriate signs at each end of the bridge.

 

“MDOT is honored to dedicate this bridge as the Terry W. Brown Memorial Bridge,” said Tagert. “This is a fitting way to pay tribute to an individual who served the people of Lowndes County.”
