Deputies in Two Counties Search for Suspected Thief

MOJOSEPH MICHAEL KELLERNROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Monroe County deputies want to talk to Joseph Michael Keller about break-ins in the county. But first they have to catch him.

Itawamba County deputies teamed up with Monroe County Friday afternoon to investigate break-ins in both counties.

They made three arrests Thursday night, and now Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says deputies are searching the woods near Pecan Road in Smithville because Keller took off on foot when he saw them coming.

” Joseph Michael Keller is the person we’re looking for. Matter of fact, when we got here today, he was up here painting this truck. We suspect it was stolen,” Cantrell says. It was red and now it’s blue and green. He was painting it.”

The sheriff says the joint effort between Monroe and Itawamba Counties recovered guns, jewelry, Ipads and computers. Cantrell says if you know where Keller is,  call the Sheriff’s office in either Monroe or Itawamba County.
