Deputies Investigating Death of Elderly Woman

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Tishomingo County deputies are investigating the death of an elderly woman who was hit by a car Friday night.

Coroner Mack Wilemon tells WCBI it happened about one mile from the Alabama state line.

He says the woman was taken by ambulance to Red Bay Hospital in Alabama, where she was pronounced dead.

The sheriff’s department is investigating.
