Video: Destination Imagination Team Places 6th in GLOBAL

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Some local students put Columbus on the map after competing in a global competition.

The Fine Arts Destination Imagination team went against 114 teams in the international competition known as GLOBAL.

The competition was held at the University of Tennessee Campus in Knoxville.

Three teams made up of seven students each from Columbus Middle School placed sixth in the Fine Arts category. The Technology and Engineering team placed 45th out of 98 teams.

In the contest, students were challenged in different categories and had to use critical thinking skills to solve problems.
