COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Some Ecolab employees may find themselves in Jacksonville, Fla. by fall of this year.

The 152 employees currently working at the Columbus branch today were informed 66 people will not be in their positions because the company is transferring “manufacturing and logistics, and certain roles supporting these functions, out of Columbus over the next several months. Ecolab expects to complete the transfer in the fall of 2015.”

86 workers will remain at the local facility.

Ecolab says it intends on providing relocation assistance to the employees who plan to transfer to any Ecolab location.

Employees who are unable to remain with the company will receive severance pay, along with other support services.
