Video: Seven Arrested on Meth-Related Charges

COLUMBUS, Miss. — On Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, agents with the Columbus-Lowndes Metro Narcotics Unit assisted the Mississippi Department of Corrections in apprehending a subject wanted by their department.

MDOC entered the residence located at 282 Dogwood Road and arrested Jeffery Murphy, 52, who listed the residence as his address. Inside the residence in plain view was crystal meth and various paraphernalia used to inject and ingest methamphetamine. The residence was secured and a search warrant was obtained for the property.

Agents found approximately one-quarter ounce of methamphetamine and a large amount of pseudoephedrine tablets. (Pseudoephedrine is the primary ingredient needed to manufacture meth.)

The residence was equipped with an infrared surveillance system with cameras stationed around the exterior of the residence. Agent also located a boxed methamphetamine lab in the garage of the residence. The items had previously been used to manufacture methamphetamine and were being stored for future use.

Arrested at the residence were:

— Corrie D. Cobb, 30, of 282 Dogwood Road for possession of meth, possession of precursors with intent to manufacture, and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

— Jonathan C. Hall, 19, of 282 Dogwood Road for possession of meth, Possession of precursors with intent to manufacture and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

— Christal Flowers-Roper, 38, of 282 Dogwood Road for possession of meth, possession of precursors with intent to manufacture and conspiracy to manufacture meth.

While agents were searching the residence, various people arrived and were in possession of controlled substances and/or precursors for methamphetamine production. Additional arrests include:

— Rickey Harrison, 55, of Hwy 373. Harrison was in possession of approximately ¼ ounce of ice methamphetamine and precursors. Harrison is currently out on bond after having been arrested earlier this year for having an active meth lab at his residence on Hwy 373. He was charged with possession of meth, possession of precursors with intent to manufacture and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

— Dustin Hall, 33, of Woolbright Street for possession of hydrocodone with intent to distribute.

— Cecil Harrison, 44, of 38 Crews Road for possession of meth.

— Pracillia Ayers, 32, of 38 Crews Road for possession of Methamphetamine. A methamphetamine lab clean up crew was called out of Memphis to the residence and cleaned the hazardous waste site.
